Abstract
This event program documents the October 22, 2004, dedication ceremony for the Pryor-England Center for Science and Engineering at Harding University. The facility expansion supports undergraduate degree offerings in mechanical and electrical engineering and a planned graduate physician assistant program, housing the departments of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering, Biology, and Physical Science. The publication recognizes lead donors Paul and June Carter for their foundational financial support and university leadership.
It honors building namesakes Dr. Joseph E. "Dr. Joe" Pryor, former vice president for academic affairs, dean, professor, and campus organization sponsor, and his wife Bessie Mae Pryor, alongside Dr. Don England, Distinguished Professor of Chemistry, former physical science department chair, and premedical program director, and his wife Lynn England. The record also outlines ceremony proceedings led by President Dr. David B. Burks, Student Association President Jimmy Huff, Board President Don Shores, Dr. David Smith, and Dr. Don England, with music provided by the Thundering Herd Marching Band.
