Abstract
This event program documents the September 20, 1975, dedication ceremony for the renovated Olen Hendrix Building at Harding College. Built in 1926, it is recognized as one of two original campus structures present when Harding relocated from Morrilton to Searcy in 1934, having previously housed administrative offices and the natural science division prior to its redesign for the Home Economics Department and Nursing Center. The document highlights namesake Olen Hendrix, detailing his career as an Arkansas State Senator, member of the State Hospital Board, president of the Bank of Prescott and Bank of Delight, and member of the Harding College Board of Trustees.
The proceedings were presided over by President Dr. Clifton L. Ganus Jr., featuring a dedicatory address by U.S. Congressman Ray Thornton, remarks by Senator Clarence Bell, Kirk Davis, Mrs. Michele Warren, Dr. Mildred Bell, and Senator Olen Hendrix.
