As a professor of languages, I count on words to communicate messages. Each of the names by which God is called in the Old Testament communicates a part of His message to us – as a whole they reveal more of God’s identity and convey the depths of His love for man. That message became even more real to me as Martin shared the deeper meaning behind God’s names as the Israelites would have understood them. Our Lord, our Provider, our Healer, the Banner marching out before us – Jehovah’s greatest desire is for us to know Him. John 17:3 equates eternal life with intimate knowledge of God and of Jesus, His Son. Find life, seek the character of God, READ.
