The Waldron Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business was created to focus on entrepreneurial academics and competitions for students as well as business development for startups and family-owned businesses. The Waldron Center blog ran from 2016 to 2022.
The Waldron Center, established in 2016, was funded by 1976 Harding graduate David Waldron and his wife Betsy of LaVergne, Tennessee. The Waldrons returned to an existing family business after college and greatly expanded its real estate development footprint. Their desire to create a resource at the University emphasizing family business and entrepreneurship led to the establishment of the center. David and brothers Charles and Greg operate Waldron Enterprises.
