Abstract
This event program documents the April 17, 1972, dedication ceremony for the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation addition to Beaumont Memorial Library at Harding College. Completed in August 1971 the expansion increased library facility space by 80 percent. The addition housed an educational media center, an oral history and archives room, microfilm reading and storage areas, unbound periodical and musical listening rooms, conference rooms, and staff offices. The publication outlines the historical progression of library facilities at Harding. The document also features a biographical profile of guest speaker Dr. Bessie Moore, member of the National Commission on Libraries and Information Science and long-serving chair of the Arkansas Library Commission.
