All Harding graduates are going to be leaders, even if they do not currently see themselves that way. That is why I am so excited that we are going to spend this coming year reading and discussing 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Though the book was written for the secular audience, I think that the Harding community is going to be reminded of biblical teachings on every page. Most books that were published in 1989 are now considered dated and are easily forgotten or ignored. 7 Habits, in contrast, had become a modern classic, and the things Covey set out to teach us in 1989 have proven to be brilliant, practical, memorable, effective, timeless and true. That is why 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is the perfect Harding Read for the 2019-2020 school year.
