Addictions are no longer only substance abuse, but also include pornography, sexual behavior, videogaming, internet, gambling and more. This presentation focuses on clearly defining and identifying what an addiction is as well as what it is not, understanding what it means to have an addiction, how to help someone struggling with an addictive behavior and what is unhelpful and especially how to effectively triage specific situations to match the need to the appropriate level of care.
