Description

Copyright guidelines for resources posted in course management classes or online venues may be different from what you have been following for your face-to-face classes. This session will quickly cover Fair Use Guidelines, the TEACH Act (The Technology, Education and Copyright Harmonization Act of 2002), and frequently asked questions along with resources and tips about using images, videos, obtaining permissions, and Creative Common licenses.

About the Author

Jean Waldrop is the Library Director at Brackett Library here on Harding’s Searcy campus. She has been working at Brackett Library since 2006, overseeing several areas of the library, including Reference and Electronic Resources, before becoming Director. Jean has a MS from Texas A&M – Commerce in Learning Technology and Information Systems with an emphasis in Library Science - a long title that lets you know that she is comfortable and excited to be a part of a physical library, as well as digital library resources. She encourages all to view the library team as a valuable tool when developing and teaching classes. Jean is currently working on a Copyright Leadership certification and looking forward to assisting anyone who needs her support.
