Abstract
This study will focus on why caregivers choose to utilize hippotherapy as a treatment strategy for their child’s speech, physical, and/or occupational therapy. Because hippotherapy is not as commonly used as traditional therapeutic strategies, there is a lack of information about it for caregivers who are seeking alternative treatment strategies for their child. This research will thematically group interview responses of caregivers who have children participating in hippotherapy, providing those caregivers seeking alternatives with personal perspectives on the value of hippotherapy.
