Description

In 1979, Delbert (Del) Belden presented Harding University with a significant gift to endow the Belden Center. The center is named for Clark David Belden, Del's father, the founder of Lomanco of Jacksonville, Florida. Del followed his father's footsteps in leading Lomanco to become the world's leader in wind-driven turbine ventilation systems.

Del Belden, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, believed strongly in free enterprise and helped Harding launch a one-of-a-kind degree program in professional sales. Passionate about capitalism, Del also served as a role model of high ideals and character for generations to come.
