Abstract

Lex Innocentium of seventh-century Ireland provided protections to the innocents of Celtic Ireland. This law was incredibly significant for Irish society at its time as well as significant for the greater history of humanitarianism.

About the Author

Meghan McElroy is a senior Social Science (licensure) major from Houma, Louisiana. After graduation, she will return to Louisiana to teach high school history and coach track and field. During her time at Harding, Meghan has been a javelin thrower for the track team, secretary and president for Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society, and a member of Chi Omega Pi social club.
