This book encourages a healthier Christian response to culture than the "culture wars" we hear so much about. It approaches the issue of culture from an artist's perspective arguing for the recovery of beauty and the appreciation of beauty as as both a vehicle for truth and a bridge for estranged parties. The governing idea is that of caring for and nurturing our culture's "soul" by planting seeds of beauty inspired by God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
