When Nehemiah heard that Jerusualem’s walls remained in ruins, he was determined to rebuild those walls and repopulate the holy city (11:1). Unquestionably Jerusalem played an important role in God’s interactions with humanity. This lesson surveys the location of Jerusalem and some of the major events that occurred there.
